What is Yoga?
The word Yoga is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning “to join together” or “to unite.” In the West we often think of Yoga as a series of postures or a way to exercise our bodies. However, very simply stated Yoga is the process of joining our individual consciousness with that of the Universal or Infinite Consciousness.
What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. In Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan we use postures, breath, mantra, sound, body locks, eye focus and meditation to bring together our body, mind and soul. Kundalini Yoga is a technology that sharpens our intellect and helps us to work on our Neutral Mind so that we can have a clearer relationship with reality. Kundalini Yoga is not a religion. It is a practice that aids us in uplifting our spirits.
The Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age
Yogi Bhajan gave us these 5 Sutras for living in this Age.
1. Recognize that the other person is you.
2. There is a way through every block.
3. When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off.
4. Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times.
5. Vibrate the Cosmos, the Cosmos shall clear the path.
“The mind is very important, but the body is equally important, and the soul is equally important. That trinity is a totality.” -Yogi Bhajan
We are a group of likeminded teachers joined together to bring the technology and teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan to the Triangle of North Carolina and its surrounding areas.
