The Aquarian Sadhana is a spiritual practice given to us by Yogi Bhajan in 1992 to take us through the transition from the Piscean Age into the Aquarian Age. We practice the Aquarian Sadhana in the Amrit Vele or the Ambrosial Hours pre-dawn. It can be practiced alone or with others. By practicing Sadhana in a group we develop Group Consciousness which can, in turn, touch the Universal Consciousness.
Aquarian Sadhana is a 2 1/2 hour practice that is always a community service; there is never a cost to join. Please bring a yoga mat, a blanket, a cushion (if you like) and a head covering.
We begin by reading aloud Japji Sahib which is the opening prayer of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, the living Guru of the Sikh faith and composed by the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. We then join together to do a Kriya/Yoga Asana Set followed by the Aquarian Sadhana Mantras which we chant together:
Morning Call/Long Ek Ong Kars 7 mins
Waah Yantee, Kar Yankee 7 mins
Mul Mantra 7 mins
Sat Siri, Siri Akal 7 mins
Rakhe Rakhan Har 7 mins
Wahe Guru Wahe Jio 22 mins
Guru Ram Das Chant 5 mins
